Resume Builder was created out of a simple frustration: existing resume tools are either expensive, require sign-ups, or produce ugly, generic results.

I spent years in the technology industry, on both sides of the hiring table — as an engineer interviewing at startups and big tech firms, and as a hiring manager reviewing hundreds of resumes. One pattern stood out: candidates with well-structured, cleanly formatted resumes got phone screens at twice the rate of equally qualified candidates with messy, poorly laid-out CVs.

Yet the tools to create a clean resume were either SaaS subscriptions (pay $20/month for a PDF?) or desktop software with a learning curve. The free options were ad-ridden dumpster fires that produced resumes nobody wanted to read.

So I built this tool with three principles:

**Free, forever.** No sign-up. No premium tier. No watermark on your PDF. The site is supported by Google AdSense, which means it stays free for everyone.

**Your data stays on your device.** Every resume you build here is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. There is no database of user resumes. We cannot see your data, and we do not want to.

**Templates built for specific industries.** A software engineer's resume should look different from a marketing director's. Our 20 templates span four categories — General (ATS-optimized), Technical (Web3, AI/ML, DevOps), Executive (Leadership KPIs), and Creative (Portfolio-style) — so you can find a layout that matches your industry conventions.
